I am not one for the pomp and ceremony of formal events, but I was overwhelmed by the artistic, technical and cultural aspects of the event (the dress rehearsal was last evening).
Yes, Steve Harper did say a few words, but he kept it short.
As many of you know, I have been to many concerts - Paul Mc Cartney, Tina Turner, Shania, Bon Jovi, Guess Who, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, the Stones several times - but the star studded cast of the opening ceremonies for the 21st Winter Olympics is awesome. Just to tease you, Nellie Furtado, Bryan Adams, Sarah McLaughlin, and KD Lang were but a few of the Canadian performers who shared their talents.
Friday Feb 12 - 9 Eastern time... don't miss it.
