O Canada was played at an Olympics medal ceremony in Canada for the first time Monday. So, yes, Alex Bilodeau won gold for Canada. At 9:45 this morning, I was able to hold a gold medal from the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. What an awesome moment for Alex and every Canadian and a WOW moment for me.
I welcomed Princess Anne to the Olympic Club for the second time in less than a week - we should be on a first name basis before long.
I chatted with George Smitherman, about the Olympics and his upcoming bid to become Toronto's next Mayor.
On my way to work, I also stopped by the awesome Olympic flame that will remain as a Vancouver fixture for years to come.
And, my collection of Olympic pins has expanded exponentially.
After my shift tomorrow, I hope to experience more of the Vancouver social life. Hopefully, I will be able to describe tomorrow's highlights before I end the day here in Vancouver.
On Sunday after Alex's win were you in Vancouver? Lauren and Samira were watching the CTV footage and thought they saw someone who looked exactly like you cheering!
